About Mary
A small town girl from Riley, Kansas; Mary joined the Body First Staff in 2006. Mary's ability to care and listen to the needs of others makes her a valuable asset to Body First. Years of experience providing massage therapy has help Mary hone her natural talent. She has the knowledge, experience, and ability to make her a highly requested therapist.
With a big heart and the desire to help others it is no suprise that Mary chose massage therapy as a career. She has volunteered her time and talents by providing chair massages at such events as the March of Dimes. She connects easily with people from all walks of life but especially relates well to mothers whether they be expecting mothers, mothers with grown children, or stay at home moms.
Mary and Pregnancy Massage
"As a massage therapist, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients. I have enjoyed working with all of them but working with new mothers and those that are expecting have brought me the greatest joy. In the past year I have had the opportunity to work with over 50 pregnant women. Each and everyone has been a joy to work with.
I believe in order to provide the best care it requires knowledge, training, experience and a special understanding of the changes that occur during pregnancy.
During my own pregnancy, I gained a new understanding of what it means to be pregnant. There was the excitement of being an expectant mother but also many of the discomforts. Suffering from Restless Leg Syndrome and other nuisances, the only relief I could find was from massage. I felt very blessed to be able to receive the care I needed when I was pregnant and I hope I can do the same for others."
Additional Information
In addition to her experience working with pregnant women, she also has experience working with individuals with spinal cord injuries and limited mobility and chronic pain sufferers. A mother of a "smart and vibrant boy", Mary enjoys spending time with family when she is not providing massage therapy.
Body First hopes you take the opportunity to schedule with Mary. We know you will not regret it.
What clients are saying about Mary
I first began scheduled with Mary because I was tense and sore in my neck and had sinus issues, both contributing to migraines. After receiving weekly massages the last few months my sinus and neck have been feeling great and relaxed. I have been able to enjoy four kids’ busy schedule.
Thanks Mary!
